About

In 1962, John & Billie Heaton purchased a grove of large, bountiful pecan trees that had been planted as far back as 1919.  One year later, they were in the pecan business, marketing whole pecans directly to their customers.  As the years went by, the business grew.  They built a  shelling plant, established a mail-order business, and expanded their inventory to include chocolate-coated, roasted, and other candied pecans.  Then, in 1990, John & Billie opened  The Barn (picture of Barn), where you’ll find unique pecan treats, gifts for any occasion, an ice cream counter featuring sixteen (16) flavors of homemade ice cream, and a flavorful breakfast, and a unique lunch menu.

On January 5, 2005, John Heaton passed away, leaving a legacy of integrity, quality, service, and value to his wife, Billie, and his family including his daughter, Lisa, his grandchildren, Chase and Haley, and me.  We, and the employees of Heaton Pecan Farm, all miss him dearly but continue to strive to meet the standards he set for our products.

Nearly every treat in this catalog and in our store is handmade fresh each day in our kitchen.  We guarantee that everything we make is the best it can be.
